You’re wandering around the shopping mall when a sweet aroma hits the air, leaving you wondering – what is that delectable smell? One word, baby: Cinnabon.
Since landing in Australia in 2019, this iconic American bakery franchise has, quite literally, been on a roll. They've just opened their 15th store in Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City, WA, and are showing no signs of slowing down.
Cinnabon uses trademarked makara cinnamon from our Indo neighbours, cream cheese and soft, sugary dough to create their signature cinnamon rolls. It's a recipe that's led to more than 2,000 stores worldwide. Not bad for a glorified snail, right?

At the Darling Square location, customers can watch their buns being made fresh every 30 minutes, with warm dough, thick vanilla cream cheese and caramelised brown sugar taking centre stage. And let's not forget the satisfying crunch of pecans.
