OZ Design Furniture

OZ Design Furniture operates as a retail specialist in the furniture, bedding, and homewares sector. The brand provides a diverse range of interior products, including fabric and leather sofas, dining tables, chairs, and bedroom collections. In addition to larger furniture pieces, the inventory features decorative homewares such as floor rugs, wall art, mirrors, and vases. The business targets residential consumers seeking coordinated interior styling options for various living spaces. The operational model utilizes a traditional showroom format complemented by an e-commerce platform. These physical storefronts serve as gallery spaces where customers can view established collections and seasonal lookbooks. Revenue is generated through the direct sale of inventory, with stock management facilitated by a dedicated warehouse and support office infrastructure. A distinguishing feature of the model is the integration of lifestyle content, such as trend forecasting and interior design advice, to assist customers in product selection. The business was established in 1979 under the name The Great Australian Design Company and is currently managed by the second generation of its founding family. Headquartered in Australia, the network consists of 38 showrooms distributed across the eastern seaboard and southern regions, including New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory.
